8C have started this year in a very positive way, taking their position at the top of the Middle School very
seriously. They are all working very hard in all subjects – their options choices are looming at the end of
the year and some difficult decisions will have to be made!

In History this term we have been studying World War One. It has been
very interesting learning about what our ancestors have done. We have
looked at trenches and the conditions soldiers fought in. We have also

This term in PE we have been doing Rugby. I enjoy PE because I really like Rugby and having a good game
is fun whilst having a laugh with your teammates, especially when you win! PE is great because we get to
go outside and get fresh air, it’s better than being in the classroom for a change!
Also, this term in Business Studies we have been learning about the marketing mix and
the 4 P’s - Product, Price, Place and Promotion. I enjoyed doing this because we are
learning in a fun way, I like business because I want to be a successful businessman
when I am older.

In Physics we have been learning about the exhilarating topic
of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only
be transferred. There are 9 types of energy; Chemical; Heat;

We have been doing about Las Vegas in Geography this term. We have learned about how much water is
needed in Las Vegas and also looked at the Grand Canyon and the skywalk you can do there. I enjoyed
learning about how much water is used there compared to here in the UK.
