All WorldSBK and WorldSSP riders and half the grid of ASBK competitors will attend the SuperShow at some stage . There will be chat shows with the stars , rookies , returning riders and wildcards . There ’ s even a full gusto ‘ Rider Karaoke ’ as the racers sing their favourite tunes - in public . ‘ Race a Rider ’ is an intriguing in-teractive quiz game where you can win a spot on the grid . As for the action itself , all WorldSBK , WorldSSP and ASBK races will be on the super screens in the Paddock , as well as those around the circuit . Host Michael Hill will commentate live with special guest comments from the stage . The paddock is a full-on party and it ’ s the place to be - and remember it ’ s free with any three-day pass . On Friday it is also free to anybody .
One of the best ways to see the riders is during the pit-walk sessions . Single day passes for Friday , Saturday and Sunday can be purchased from the Event Information Office located at the base of the pedestrian overpass on Gardner Straight . It ’ s the best way to see the riders and what happens in their pit box . Times : Friday 12.25pm – 12.55pm Saturday 13.40pm – 14.10pm Sunday 12.05pm – 12.35pm . Other things to not miss ?
In between session on the track surface Jack Field , stuntman and world champion trials rider , will headline multiple 20-25min shows per day . There will also be free poster signings and photos . For your own physical thrills , you can book scenic helicopter flights . Tickets from the trailer near the Expo or the helipad at Lukey Heights . The turn-up-and-ride GoKarts will also be operating each day .
The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Visitor Centre is another must do . It has live vision of the track , and it ’ s where you can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at the Champion ’ s Café and Bar or check out all the official event and Circuit merchandise . Try out Australia ’ s largest GP Slot Car track . Don ’ t forget the race simulator centre with four connected race simulators , so you can race your mates around the virtual circuit .
This year the History of Motorsport display has a magnificent range of 24 Grand Prix racing bikes . Purchased in Milan , the Aprilias and Cagivas rival any collection in Australia and feature nine World Championship winning bikes , including the 1997 Rossi 125 . Once you have sampled all that , plus the racing of course , go home to rest . And reboot for the next big day at PI .
