Since 2004 Pirelli has been the single tyre supplier to the WorldSBK paddock . In all that time Pirelli has followed its successful approach of using racing to develop top performance track tyres and then applying those advances in technology to the road and racing product ranges that are available to motorcyclists around the world .

It has been a long and fruitful road . Pirelli has raced at 49 WorldSBK circuits since 1989 , when it first competed in this category . Pirelli has brought over 750 new tyre solutions to WorldSBK since 2004 . Pirelli has brought over 1 million tyres to WorldSBK in that same length of time .
The most heralded Pirelli development this season will be the SCQ tyre , which will replace the previous qualifying tyre with a new solution .
It is the latest in a long line of technological advances that have benefitted WorldSBK teams and riders . Under Pirelli ’ s single tyre formula , introduced almost two decades ago , all the riders had - for the first time - the same possibilities to compete for victory thanks to an equal tyre supply .
