The Past Captain was delighted to
be able to hand over a cheque to
The Willow Foundation. The Willow
Foundation is a charity formed by Bob
Wilson and his wife Megs following
the tragic death, at such a young
age, of their daughter Anna. It helps
provide special days out for young
adults aged 16-40 who are suffering
from life limiting diseases.
During his year, Past Captain Stuart
raised £2700 for the charity, one close
we know to his family’s heart and he
and his family are still helping to raise
money for them following the sudden
death of his mother last year who
was such a keen supporter. A fantastic
evening with Bob himself regaling
members with stories from his Arsenal
& Scotland days along with the 24
hour golf marathon where Stuart and
his sidekick and current Captain Rob
Drewett played 6 rounds in 24 hours
non-stop from 7am to 7am. Stuart is
extremely grateful for the generosity of
Stuart with Katie Fisher from
The Willow Foundation
members and their friends who gave
so freely during his year and thanks
every single person who donated.
The Lemon Tree

will be closing its doors in the next few
months. Head Chef and owner, Luke
Fishpool (51) says that after 22 years
the lifetime of the restaurant has come
to its natural conclusion. ‘It’s time to
