SapphirEmerald Magazine got the story on how they started this beautiful restaurant for the world to enjoy.
YM: Ms. Annette M Hurd Runcie you have done some incredible things in life. Your career path is outstanding. Some of our readers are college students. Can you take a moment to express your educational level and why your career major.
AR: I began my undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and wanted to do Information Technology. I then transferred to City College, CUNY where I got my BS in IT from the School Of Engineering. It was there, I got recruited by Procter & Gamble and began to learn about business management. Working at P&G I was encouraged to get my MBA.
YM: We understand that you became a Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill franchise owner. If someone wanted to become a franchise owner what business advice would you provide to them?
AR: If someone wants to become a franchise owner I would tell them to their homework and make sure its the right fit for their skill set, make sure they are willing to be hands-on and take time to pick the right location.
YM: You currently own a restaurant called Pa- Nash Restaurant & Lounge located in Southeast Queens in New, York City. Dazzle our reader on why they should come to your restaurant?
AR: Pa-Nash is an upscale restaurant with an award- winning ambiance and one of a kind cuisine called Euro Soul, which is a fusion Mediterranean, Caribbean and Soulfood. Its Manhattan style dining without the hustle and bustle of going to Manhattan. We have a 20-foot bar with exotic specialty drinks and happy hour specials to make you unwind after a long workday. It's warm, relaxing and inviting and a perfect place to entertain guest, celebrate a special event or have an intimate affair.
