SALGA’s Performance planning and reporting framework
Performance information
This past year was very significant for SALGA
as the sector was undergoing a transition. The
transition entailed the local government elections
which were held on 03 August 2016. Prior, during
and post the election, SALGA was engaged with
supporting municipalities to manage the local
government elections and related matters. Some
key projects included rolling out of the SALGA
integrated councillor induction programme and convening provincial and national conferences.
The conferences included the election of new
leadership for SALGA as well as setting a new
strategic agenda for the next five years.
