Partnership with Japan International
Cooperation Agency
SALGA secured support from the Japan
International
Cooperation
Agency
in
collaboration with the Department of Water and
Sanitation to build a non-revenue water training
yard, training of the trainers and exchange of
knowledge and best practice between Japan and
South African municipalities. This partnership
will enhance municipalities’ knowledge and
understanding of how to reduce non-revenue
water, since Japan is regarded as a global leader
in tackling non-revenue water.
Partnership with UN Women
An MoU between SALGA and the UN Women
was signed in 2016. Its purpose is to provide
a framework for cooperation and facilitate
