Performance information Partnership with Japan International Cooperation Agency SALGA secured support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency in collaboration with the Department of Water and Sanitation to build a non-revenue water training yard, training of the trainers and exchange of knowledge and best practice between Japan and South African municipalities. This partnership will enhance municipalities’ knowledge and understanding of how to reduce non-revenue water, since Japan is regarded as a global leader in tackling non-revenue water. Partnership with UN Women An MoU between SALGA and the UN Women was signed in 2016. Its purpose is to provide a framework for cooperation and facilitate collaboration between the SALGA and the UN Women in areas of common interest, focusing on gender equality and the empowerment of women in local government.
