According to Bandar Al Fahid president of the Arab Tourism Organization which is an Arab League Institution the amount of
money the Arab countries have spent on medical tourism abroad has tallied up to $27 billion a year. He added the amount
is spent abroad despite the Arab world possessing natural resources, infrastructure, human resources and other elements
needed in the industry.
