The CSM RK became a specialized research institute in the cultural and educational fields.
As Mr. Alimbay indicated that, over the last ten years, CSM RK has been tending to make a mutation over its fundamental and functional
structure to become a specialized research institute in the cultural and educational domains of the country. As international experience
shows, the operation of the museum as a scientific structure allows it to achieve the desired verity in cultural and educational aspects over
all levels.

Lastly, Mr. Alimbay assured that, Since 2006, the museum operates with the official status of a research organization that has served as
a new impetus to the improvement of both the research (including the fund), and cultural and educational activities. The organizational
structure of the museum consists of 4 scientific and 2 cultural and educational departments: Archaeology center, manuscripts center,
center for anthropology and ethnology, center for the study of the history of Kazakhstan, center of cultural and educational activities, group
organizing the exhibitions, as well as a large research library which contains around one hundred thousand books, including rare books
and manuscripts.
