Joseph P. Broderick, MD, is Professor of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Director of the University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Broderick is an internationally recognized expert on diseases of the brain and a strong advocate for a patient-centered approach to treatment of brain disorders. He currently is the Principal Investigator of the National Coordinating Center for the NIH funded network of stroke trials. Kathleen M. Chard PhD Director, UC Health Stress Center Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience University of Cincinnati Kathleen M. Chard, Ph.D. is the Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Director of Trauma Recovery Center at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. She is also a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Director of the UC Health Stress Center at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Chard is an internationally recognized expert in the assessment and treatment of PTSD. She is currently funded by the VA and the Department of Defense to identify biomarkers that will assist in making accurate diagnoses of PTSD. Dr. Chard is the recipient of the VA Mark Walcott Award for Excellence In Clinical Care and the USO Award as a Military Medicine Hero. She has over 60 research publications and hundreds of presentations at national and international conferences.
