The things I was learning in Seventh Grade at Saint David’s were being taught in junior year of public high school. I hope that the school still gives opportunities through discounted tuition programs, for some of the less fortunate inner city kids. I often tell people that Saint David’s saved me from the ‘hood.’ I was the only kid in my neighborhood coming home from school in a jacket and tie. The homework kicked my butt, but it was well worth it. I get choked up thinking about the kind Headmaster, Mr. Hume at the time.
