Skating Party Fun
Saint David’s annual Family Skating Party was a great success with families taking to the ice for an evening of skating and feasting. The skating party is a major school fundraiser run by the Parents Association. This year’s chairs (shown in photo with Rory Drury) were Beaumont Lett and Linda Kurtz.
Native American Presentation
The annual Fifth Grade Native American Presentation showcases four Native American tribes: Pueblo, Chinook, Iroquois, and Sioux. The boys, members of a team representing one of these tribes, are scored on their achievements in their creative dioramas, slide presentations, and teamwork. They are assessed on content, organization, visuals, and the delivery of their presentations. The Native American Presentation is a culmination of the boys’ fall study of the cultures and contributions of the tribes. This year’s event also included a tribute to longtime Master Teacher Tom McLellan, originator of the Native American Presentations, who is retiring at the end of this academic year.
