A?R?O?U?N?D C?A?M?P?U?S Thanksgiving Drive Boys throughout the school participated in Saint David’s 45th annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, which resulted in the delivery of Thanksgiving meals to Incarnation Church, Bethel Gospel Assembly, and Lion of Judah. Beginning in early November, the eighth graders, under the direction of teachers Tom Ryan and Gene Romanosky, sold pies to raise money for the purchase of the turkeys and spearheaded a school-wide collection of canned and nonperishable food items. This year the boys broke records in the boxes of groceries, number of pies sold, and amount of money collected. In total the boys sold 654 pies, collected 223 boxes of groceries, and raised $953 in the daily collection. Math Bowl—It’s a Tie! The 2011 Math Bowl was an exciting competition that ended in a tie, with the Euclideans and Pythagoreans sharing the title of 2011 Champions. The annual competition pits four teams, each comprising a fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grader, against one another to solve a variety of math problems created by their math teachers. All Upper School boys and their teachers attend the event. This was the first time in the competition’s 30-year history that all four teams scored in triple digits. 42? •? Saint David’s Magazine
