Their Patterns The fall Kindergarten Pattern Museum was a festival of colorful, everyday objects such as toy cars, candy, coins, and baseball cards that the boys arranged into patterns for the conclusion of their unit of study on patterns. During the exhibition, the boys explained their patterns to the Headmaster, visiting teachers and other students, demonstrating their understanding of various concepts of patterns such as repetition, proportion, and symmetry. Patterns are central to math curriculum as they introduce theory and sequence at a basic level. Winter 2012? •? 41
