here in our own country.” From that second on, I was hungry
to know more about the situation and what we can do to
support them. Since then we have helped raise millions of
dollars for their programs and helped them launch Summer
Meals Programs in our schools but, most importantly, we
started a movement via social media that opened people’s
eyes to No Kid Hungry and community activism. She is also
one of the most inspiring people in my life.
It takes a village. It takes ideas. No matter how small,
ridiculous or far-fetched because it’s those ideas that are the
building blocks to actual results and success. Another small
but significant thing I wanted to do to inspire others began
as simple Post-It Notes in my daughter’s lunch. I posted
them one day on Instagram and parents and educators

latched on to the idea. It grew into @TheLunchboxLogic
where I post inspirational and motivational quotes for our
youth in hopes that it will inspire them to pass along the
positive vibes to others or motivate parents/educators to do
the same for their kids. I took it out of the local community
and started something that could go global. Has it exploded
yet? Well, not quite, but it’s growing organically every week
and helping others get through their day with some positive
words.
I can’t begin to express how rewarding it is to be a
community leader, activist and someone who people know
they can turn to in order to get results and make a difference.
