LÉO SANCHEZ’ 22 received acceptance from Tulane University, his early decision school. His parents, Elaine and Eduardo, were pleased to share that he wants to study Jazz and major in Music and Finance in college.“ Jazz originated in New Orleans- so Tulane seems to be a right fit for him … Saint David’ s is the foundation of Léo’ s education and character development. We love the school and will always consider it home.”
▲ CLIFFORD MALLORY’ 98 reflects on fond memories of his Saint David’ s years,“ The office chats with Mr. Hume often led to conversations about favorite restaurants, boats, and the Connecticut shoreline, where he had a home in Essex, CT … mental images of after school competitions against Buckley kids in the playground – with St. Bernard’ s and Allen Stevenson friends as allies … The comfort of walking through Saint David’ s campus always felt like my grandparents home.” From Korea to Jakarta to Singapore, the University of San Francisco graduate has lived internationally for the better part of his adult years. He has since settled in the city with his family.
▼ INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC PROWESS: As shared with our Director of Admissions Allison Vella, Julia Humphries was elated to note that her son JACK HUMPHRIES’ 21 graduated from Knox Grammar School in Sydney, Australia, as Dux of the School, which is the highest academic honor offered, akin to Valedictorian. Jack also achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95 in the state Year 12 results- which only 51 students achieved out of 70,000 Year 12 students in 2024 in the state of New South Wales. He also achieved state rank(“ Top Achiever”) in the subjects of Economics(# 9 in state) and Modern History(# 11). Jack now attends the University of Sydney, studying for a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double Major in Economics and Finance. At University, he was awarded the prestigious Chancellor’ s Award scholarship. He is very active at St. Paul’ s College, where he is a resident member and is keeping very busy with his economics tutoring start-up, school clubs, friends, and planning next summer traveling in Europe.
