Art Club at Saffron Walden Library Art Material Donations and Volunteer Helper Needed In January Ian Jamieson at Saffron Walden Library began running an Art Club for young people, providing a place to create and learn while having fun, along with other creative individuals. Since then it has grown in popularity, and our club display board is bursting with the fabulous art work they have created. Ian started this club to be a free place for art and imagination to thrive and has made this possible by generously sharing his art supplies with everyone that has joined us. Now that the club has grown so big, and to make sure we can keep providing these young artists with a place to create, we need to ask for any donations of art supplies that P le a s e m e n t i o n ‘ T h e F l yer ’ wh en r esp o n d in g t o ad ver t isements you would be happy to pass onto our growing club. Do you have any paints, paper, pens and pencils or brushes that you no longer use? As long as they still work then the Art Club would love to have them. With so many people now joining the club we are also looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help Ian prepare and clear away, and who is willing to generally help out and get involved with our fun activities. No need to be especially good at art, just energetic, helpful and over 14 years old. If you would like to donate or volunteer for the Let’s Draw Art Club, please pop into the library and ask at the Hello Desk or email us at [email protected] T H E FLY E R | JU N E 2 0 1 8 5
