YOUTH SOCCER Club Soccer Saddleback Elite Soccer Strikers FC Elite Soccer League is pleased to offer club soccer to players who have developed and are ready to move beyond traditional recreational soccer. Our club soccer arm, known as CFA, plays with and against all of the other local soccer clubs in South Orange County’s most popular gaming circuit – SCDSL. Because we run Recreational, Signature, and Club programs we are able to place players on teams at a level that helps them develop at their own pace. In addition, CFA uses a combination of paid trainers and highly qualified volunteers (mostly ex-college players) in order to offer the highest level of club play at a price that families can afford. The 5v5 (U8 and younger) and 7v7 (U9 and older) format guarantees that each player will get several touches on the ball during games. This small-sided format also requires players to get involved – no one gets lost on the field! Sports Elite Soccer / Winter Training Elite’s winter training program is perfect for players who want to develop skills before trying them out in actual games. Each of the eight sessions focuses on one aspect of the game (e.g. passing, dribbling, etc.). Sessions are all on Saturdays and consist of 60 minutes of training followed by 30 minutes of scrimmage. Strikers FC is one of the few soccer clubs nationwide with both Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for girls and US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) for boys and both are open to all of our U14 Striker players. Development takes time and commitment. Unfortunately, winning has become a selling point of success for many clubs. However, we have a different philosophy. We like to win, but use our level of play from beginning to end to prove ourselves. Player development takes time, patience, player loyalty, and teamwork amongst coaching. Our coaching staff consists of time-proven coaches, both as players and as coaches including multiple local Division 1 varsity high school coaches, current USL professional players, MLS players past and present, Women's Professional Soccer League players and Division 1 collegiate players. Our BU17 and BU16 will be flight one SCDSL after starting in the CSL bronze level six seasons ago with a core group still with us. Our U15, U14 and U13 teams are on track to accomplish flight one as well, and our U8 – U12 Academy, which is the very foundation of this process, is attracting many players with the ability to flourish. The boys are proof our model works and the girls will be no different over time. Player development flourishes in a stable environment. Stability is our cornerstone and we are very proud of our player and coaching retention rates.
