2013 Calgary Marathon AARP
The Calgary Marathon is Canada ’ s Longest running Marathon ( celebrates 50 years in 2014 ). The Scotiabank Calgary Marathon is organized and operated by the Calgary Marathon Society , a non-profit volunteer organization promoting health and fitness .

This past Spring the Team had the amazing opportunity to work alongside the Calgary Marathon in a customer service support capacity . Coming to the Marathon as an organized , disciplined Team well suited to working with each other . The Crimson Sabres were tasked with the opportunity to conduct access control for the entire event .
Arriving at 0500 on race day the Crimson Sabres , led by Sabre Commander M . Nelson and Sabre Corporal ’ s S . Black and S . Sentner , they set out to the task at hand . Duties during the day were not limited to just access control . Crimson Sabres could be seen assisting with start and finish line setup , marshalling of runners and assisting with directions in and around the venue . Along with a few convergent volunteers and prospective recruits , the Crimson Sabres logged 100 volunteer man hours for the day .
A very successful day and a mission accomplished .
