Our second mission of the day was to once again hold off the enemy advance in a slightly more open area of the field . This mission progressed for about 1 - 1.5 hour with us seeing very little action when mother nature decided to step in and unleashed a heavy downpour and a thunderstorm . The game was called off and the field cleared do to safety concerns . As we cleared the field we estimated that some of the lightning was directly overhead at an altitude of under 900M .
After we had secured our field gear and loaded our personal gear into our vehicles we returned to the Imperial Motel and began caring for our soaked markers and gear . Once we had tended to that as best we could we began working on some of our other projects and socializing with our teammates over a Bar-B-Qued supper and some well earned awards were presented .
