Our second mission of the day was to once again hold off the enemy advance in a slightly more open area of the field. This mission progressed for about 1- 1.5 hour with us seeing very little action when mother nature decided to step in and unleashed a heavy downpour and a thunderstorm. The game was called off and the field cleared do to safety concerns. As we cleared the field we estimated that some of the lightning was directly overhead at an altitude of under 900M.
After we had secured our field gear and loaded our personal gear into our vehicles we returned to the Imperial Motel and began caring for our soaked markers and gear. Once we had tended to that as best we could we began working on some of our other projects and socializing with our teammates over a Bar-B-Qued supper and some well earned awards were presented.
