foster care system. You change peoples lives.
When I once asked you “why are you so involved”, you
replied “Housing policy just interests me…. I spend time
reading about it in my spare time” And what spare
time do you have with work, family and volunteer obli-
gations?
A quote that best describe you is provided by Sherry
Anderson who explained “Volunteers don’t get paid,
not because they’re worthless, but because they’re
priceless.”
You are priceless!
Here is what I’d say: “You don’t necessarily have the
time; you just have the heart. You make a living by
what you get. You make a difference in our lives by
what you give back.”
