Construction Chemicals VIP polyurea waterproofing coating was selected for widespread protective sealing of surfaces at the new uber-luxurious Royal Palace in Maseru, Lesotho. Constructed by LSP Construction of Maseru, the palace roof refurbishment is being carried out as part of LSP’s large-scaled contract for the Government of Lesotho. www.saroofing.co.za Specified by LSP, several areas of the extensive palace received a royal treatment – the pure polyurea coating was applied to the palace roofs; the roof gardens and tanking for the ground-level exotic gardens; as well as the roofs of the guest house and tennis clubhouse. So far more than 2 400m² of diverse surfaces at the Royal Palace have been applied with VIP Polyurea Quick Spray Industrial pure polyurea coating, highlights Noel Abendroth, a.b.e. polyurea performance coatings manager. “The design of the palace called for waterproofing that was guaranteed not to leak, particularly as part of the roof gardens are on the roofs of the living quarters of King Letsie lll,” says Abendroth.
