BYE MY LOVE BY shiki1221
The sun was high in the sky as Naruto wat-
ched him from the shade of a tree. He was
waiting for the reason of the darkness of his
heart: Sasuke Uchiha. He would not be the
one to cloud his lucidity and sanity but he
heard of the hasty decision to leave Konoha.
He was aware of his inability to stop him,
what could be the perfect excuse to keep
him at his side? There was none, it didn’t
exist, and if he found one he would be
nothing but selfish. A village whose peace
was founded on the sacrifice and blood of
the Uchiha would never be a place to give
peace to the demons of his best friend. His
only way out was freedom.
After all, the saying went, "If you love so-
mething, let it go".
“Teme” he called softly as he saw him wal-
king towards him with his natural elegance.
“Usuratonkachi” he responded to the greeting
in his own way, but that's how they unders-
tood each other. A clash between that black
eye and Naruto's blue eyes left so many fee-
lings floating in the air....
The Uchiha was about to go to an uncertain
destination for an indeterminate period of
time. The atmosphere intoxicated him with
the desire to hold him in his arms and hold
him there so that he would never let go. But
he knew he was being soaked in nostalgia for
those memories they shared together in Ko-
noha. A village that, to be honest with
himself, did not deserve Sasuke; not with so
many people who could not see what he ap-
preciated in that broken and tortured soul.
With all his flaws, successes and mistakes: He
loved him. He did not know at what moment
he stopped professing a sincere friendship to
transform those words into the screen of
truth that he felt obliged to hide.

”Why are you here?" Sasuke questioned,
drawing him from his thoughts.
“I came here to say goodbye, because you
were so teme that you didn't even tell me
you were leaving," answered Naruto, silen-
cing the real reason.
“I wasn't going to say goodbye to anyone,"
Uchiha replied to the childish complaint. So-
mehow he was glad that Naruto went to say
goodbye to him; who knows when they
would see each other again.
So typical of Sasuke to leave without words
or explanations, he never gave them and did
not have the need to do so. However, those
lips capable of pronouncing the cruelest
words kissed him surprisingly, disturbing all
his senses. He was enraptured by the pain of
knowing the meaning of that kiss: a farewell.
Still, even though he didn't know it was a
goodbye, his heart was pounding heavily.
They could endure the distance again as long
as their feelings remained intact. He wanted
to shout out the answer that Sasuke seemed
to ask for so much in every question, but his
lips and his were sealed with the words kept
in their hearts.
There was no agreement for a new meeting.
They didn't have to. There was no need for
promises. They loved each other deeply and
unconditionally.
Naruto showed the gennin bandana proprie-
ty of the Uchiha and handed it to him; he im-
mediately knew what it meant. It was a new
beginning for both of them and as long as
their bond held them together, nothing could
separate them.
