Naruto was in front of the window of his
Hokage office. He seemed to be watching the
village that trusted him so much, but in reality
he saw only his reflection as he opened and
closed his right hand and slowly climbed his
arm. A couple of weeks ago he had begun to
have strange sensations in that part of his body.
He felt as if his clothes were clogging and tigh-
tening him, also as if he was bumping into peo-
ple or things, but he never touched them or
even touched them. For which reason he began
to wear his cape as long as he could, so he excu-
sed himself in his mind that it had been a real
sensation and not an invention of his imagina-
tion.
The problems came when he felt pulsations te-
lling him that he lacked circulation in his right
arm. He immediately went to the doctors to be
checked, but everyone told him that his arm
was in perfect condition. The days passed with
the tingling that went to the cold and then to
the burning. Then a doctor came to his last ver-
dict: phantom limb syndrome. His brain was still
not assimilating that a member of his body had
disappeared. The only solution was for his neu-
ral system to adjust to the changes and accept
the real information from the renewed cells.
“This syndrome is common considering the lar-
ge number of ninjas who return from on some
mission lose a part of their body“ The doctor
explained.
“That's the days when they lose them. What
happened to me was years ago. Why would I
do that now? Why if I have a new arm?”
“I don't know it. Only another ninja has presen-
ted something similar to you, and we haven't
came up with an explanation” At first the doc-
tor refused to let go information, doctor-
patient ethics, but he couldn't refuse the Hoka-
ge. The other isolated case was Sasuke Uchiha.
Returning to the present Naruto was still in
front of his reflection now flexing his fingers.
He was repeating in a low voice that his other
arm had disappeared and that the strange sensa-
tions, which had already turned to pain, were
only in his mind and were not real. Suddenly
someone knocked on the door and quickly tur-
ned to his desk. It was Shikamaru, who delive-
red a message from Sasuke about his recent in-
vestigation.
“Naruto, are you alright? You're sweating.”
mentioned Shikamaru while the other one read.
“Of course I'm okay, I'm just a little hot.” He
lied. He was resisting the anguished punctures.
If the doctor found out about the discomfort,
he would
