He seemed to be watching the village that trusted him so much, but in reality he saw only his reflection as he opened and closed his right hand and slowly climbed his arm. A couple of weeks ago he had begun to have strange sensations in that part of his body. He felt as if his clothes were clogging and tigh- tening him, also as if he was bumping into peo- ple or things, but he never touched them or even touched them. For which reason he began to wear his cape as long as he could, so he excu- sed himself in his mind that it had been a real sensation and not an invention of his imagina- tion. The problems came when he felt pulsations te- lling him that he lacked circulation in his right arm. He immediately went to the doctors to be checked, but everyone told him that his arm was in perfect condition. The days passed with the tingling that went to the cold and then to the burning. Then a doctor came to his last ver- dict: phantom limb syndrome. His brain was still not assimilating that a member of his body had disappeared. The only solution was for his neu- ral system to adjust to the changes and accept the real information from the renewed cells. “This syndrome is common considering the lar- ge number of ninjas who return from on some mission lose a part of their body“ The doctor explained. “That's the days when they lose them. What happened to me was years ago. Why would I do that now? Why if I have a new arm?” “I don't know it. Only another ninja has presen- ted something similar to you, and we haven't came up with an explanation” At first the doc- tor refused to let go information, doctor- patient ethics, but he couldn't refuse the Hoka- ge. He was repeating in a low voice that his other arm had disappeared and that the strange sensa- tions, which had already turned to pain, were only in his mind and were not real. Suddenly someone knocked on the door and quickly tur- ned to his desk. It was Shikamaru, who delive- red a message from Sasuke about his recent in- vestigation. “Naruto, are you alright? You're sweating.” mentioned Shikamaru while the other one read. “Of course I'm okay, I'm just a little hot.” He lied. He was resisting the anguished punctures.
