Uruguay
Nickname: Los Teros
World Cup appearances: 2
World Cup best finish: Third
in Pool, 1999
In each of the pools at the World
Cup, there is that one team that
is relatively weak and in this case
the award goes to Uruguay.
Following the retirement of
their talismaniac lock Rodrigo
Capo Ortega, Los Teros looks
destined to be pool A’s whopping
boys. This will be their third World
Cup appearance since making
their debut in 1999.
The last time they faced
England they were on the
receiving end of a 111-13 defeat.
To be honest, there isn’t really
much to write home about Los
Peros.
Good luck to them and
hopefully they will enjoy the
English experience.
