The morning after the puja saw the distribution of bhog to all the residents and also to the local needy and the poor . In the evening the entire locality came together to enjoy a series of fun activities including , ‘ Anandamela ’ ( casual pot-luck fete ), the first-ever Russa Road ‘ Housie ’, an open-to-all quiz show , a classical dance recital and a small musical performance .
Furthermore , this iteration of Russa Road South 1st Lane ’ s Kalipuja celebrations caught the attention of several media houses and much to our surprise and tremendous happiness , we were awarded ‘ Shera Alok Shomman 2016 ’ by ABP Ananda !
The tremendous success of this year ’ s celebrations , ABP Ananda ’ s feather-in-our-cap award notwithstanding , was entirely due to the tireless support of the entire locality and the kind encouragement of the donors , sponsors and advertisers .
