The Saddest Thi BY JIANG TIANRAN The saddest thing in the world happens when the key that links love and physics is swinging in front of you, yet you can’t reach it. Whether you believe it or not, the truth is, love—an emotion that is usually regarded as a call from the cockles of one’s heart—exists as the bridge between human’s feelings and PHYSICS. Some examples are shared: Example one: you will never know that Isaac Newton is much more than a physicist. His famous law of universal gravitation tells us, there is an attraction force between every two objects. This may explain why the magical appealing is surrounded with you no matter where you are. Example two: astrophysicists suggest that when two fixed stars hit against each other, they might combine into a bigger star. This means, if your trajectory of life coincidentally intersects with mine, we can squeeze them into a never-stopping circle, chasing each other without the limitation of time, traveling fur- ther and further afield. Now can you have a glimpse of the relationship between love and physics? Yes? No? Sounds excellent? Or… sounds like bullshit?
