lower than in places less culturally diverse like Montana (The Mumford Center 2011). Therefore, by enhancing the strength of the whole country, the multicultural environment brings effective convenience and influence to the police in managing community stability. Application in Chinese international students By analyzing the causes of discrimination from both police’s side and African-American teenager’s side, the reasonable and reliable citizen-police connection should be estab- lished to solve the root of racial problems. I still want to reiterate my position that as an outsider and a prospective international student, my standpoint that the reciprocal relation- ship between African-Americans and the police maintains the social safety and develop- ment under racial tensions in the United States only applies to the analysis of the above literature. In order to be responsible for our own actions, the evaluation and consciousness of suitable reactions play an important role in establishing flexible and solid police-citizen relationship. “International students improved in awareness of their emotions, learnt to relate to difficult emotions more constructively, and regulated negative emotions more effectively” (Hülya P1). The lack of international students’ academic knowledge often occupies a large part of the discriminatory factors and has a negative impact on the reasonable judgment of the police. Because of that, Chinese teenagers can accumulate their relevant knowledge by experiencing different living environments and developing
