Okehampton Glen Johns has had a long and positive association with many local rugby clubs including Bideford, Launceston and the Cornish All Blacks. He is a current sponsor of Okehampton RFC with his business, Harper Feeds and recently told Rugby Club Magazine, “It’s great to see the club competing so well this season and myself and our clients thoroughly enjoy the hospitality at the club on match day. It would be nice to see the RFU give more thought to the timing of the Six Nations games to synchronise better with the local club and grassroots of the sport which is very importantly the future of Rugby. Friday night and later Saturday fixtures would allow the rugby community to continue playing and supporting their national teams. Many disruptions are caused by showing games alongside fixtures and with a friendlier timetable all will be well. Okehampton has a great reputation for growing their own and long may it continue. I wish everyone at the club the very best for the remainder of the 2018/2019 campaign!” Highest Quality Feeds Your first choice for quality agricultural fixed-formulated feeds T: 01409 254 300 W: www.harpersfeeds.co.uk E: [email protected] Waldon Way, Holsworthy Industrial Estate, Holsworthy, Devon, EX22 6ER • Fencing & Yard • Clothing & Footwear • Farm Animal Health • Tools & Hardware • Pets & Equine • Gardening Sundries Pop in store for our full range of quality products T: 01409 259 600 W: www.harpersfarmsupplies.co.uk E: [email protected] Harrier Park, Shadrick Way, Holsworthy Industrial Estate, Holsworthy, Devon, EX22 6FU “I grew up with Okehampton; my dad Bob wore every hat at the club over the years including President and Club Captain as well as being a good front row player. I currently play for the Vets and have maintained the same fly half position over the years since I started with the clubs U14s. My business, RMG Insurance, have sponsored the club for over five years now. Best wishes to everyone at the club - long may the enjoyment and success continue.” Richard Gee www.rugbyclubmag.com 69
