C heltenham Rugby Club is based at the Newlands Park Sports and Social Venue in Southam and has owned the site since 2007 . At present their first team competes in the Tribute Western Counties North League and they are led by the team of Chairman Steve Ratcliffe and President David Townsend OBE .
They have made a positive start to their league campaign this season , putting together a record of eight wins and five defeats from their thirteen matches . This has left them sitting in the top half of the table with forty one points on the board .
This should provide them with a fine platform from which to build as they look ahead to the rest of the campaign . As long as they are able to retain their current group of players and perhaps make one or two quality additions they should be able to look forward to a bright future .
