irst established in 1954, Hitchin Rugby Club plays their home games at King
George V Playing Fields on Old Hale Way in Hertfordshire and their first team
currently competes in the London 3 North West League. They are led by the team of
President Tim Jeffries and Chairman Richard Lucas and the club is looking to progress
under their guidance.
Over the years the club has put
together a history of which they have
every right to be proud with one of the
highlights coming when they played at
Twickenham in the National Junior RFU
Cup in 1993.

Last season it would be fair to say that
their first team did not perhaps enjoy the
campaign that they would have liked as
they put together a record of eight wins,
a draw and thirteen defeats from their
twenty two matches. This saw them
finish in the bottom half of the table with
41 points on the board.
They will be looking to improve in
their 2016/17 campaign and have been
working hard during the off-season to
make sure that they do so. As long as
