Indeed there are plans to hold taster sessions for girls of all ages this season. “After a few yo-yo years Henley are still ambitious to return to National 1 but realise that this must be done with a clear sustainable model based on strong community values. We will be developing a team to see us through the next few years and this year’s team is talented but inexperienced. “There’s no doubt that Henley has some of the best facilities in this league and indeed the league above. The programme for future developments will only enhance its reputation and ensure it is firmly placed to meet the demands of the next few years. “The challenge of course is to develop a sustainable provision that enables the club to provide all players with an enjoyable and worthwhile experience that meets the core values of the game.” Phyllis Court Club and the Henley Rugby Club are neighbours in the beautiful market town of Henley-on-Thames. Phyllis Court is delighted to be sponsoring the Henley Hawks this year. Phyllis Court Members Club is a picturesque venue, with deluxe accommodation and spectacular function rooms, where the Rugby Club recently enjoyed their annual dinner. The Club is nestled in 18 acres of beautiful lawns leading down to the River Thames and is on the finish line of the famous Henley Royal Regatta course. The Partnership between the clubs is an easy fit for Phyllis Court as sports play an important role in its thriving social scene. The Club has recently approved plans to build a Sports and Fitness Pavilion with a swimming pool, gym 10 Issue 65 and exercise studio. There are 30 different interest groups such as rowing, croquet, golf, tennis and dance, with many members expressing an interest in Rugby and actively attending both clubs. The Henley Rugby Club is treasured in the local area thanks to their significant contribution to sport within the community.
