the provision of a third pitch which was
completed in 2012.
During the 2012-2013 season a decision
was taken to rebrand the club as Tadley
Tigers RFC.
The club is very much involved in
the community providing facilities for
functions, local schools, netball teams
and the Tadley concert band. The senior
players also take part in the Tadley 10K
run as part of their summer training.
Currently the club field 3 senior teams
all playing in the South West structured
Leagues. The Junior section now consists
of 350 + Mini/Midi players from under
6 through to under 12 and Juniors from
under 13 through to colts.
A number of the current under 16
players have been recognised through the
County structure and have been selected
for London Irish and Wasps academies.
Those colts that first started as under
6 have now started to be introduced to
senior rugby with the future of the club
looking promising.
If asked 30 years ago what my
ambition was as a founder member, it
was to provide a community club who
owned their ground. I would never have
dreamed that we would now have such
a strong community club with great
facilities with the possibility of providing
potential International players.
3 of the founder members can still be
seen at the club most Thursday evenings
and at most 1st XV matches on a Saturday
ensuring that the club is moving in the
right direction.
