We recently caught up with Club Representative Jim Wigglesworth to find out more about the good work the club has been doing lately. Involvement He told us, “I’ve been involved at Ollerton for around 9 years now. I took up Rugby late in life (27) and had a year learning the Game at Mansfield. A good mate of mine was playing at Ollerton at the time and suggested I went along. I did and haven’t looked back. I’ve played all this time and for the last few years have taken on the duties of Assistant Manager, Secretary, Fixtures Secretary, Groundsman, Kit Man etc. It’s a great place to play rugby and experience the 74 Issue 63 social side of the game that is just as important!” The Role “The most challenging aspect is being able to select a consistent side on a Saturday. Work commitments get in the way a lot which can’t be helped. Fortunately, our squad has strengthened in numbers and quality in the last couple of years which has
