Involvement
He told us, “I have been involved since 2002 when I took
my son along on a Sunday morning. I was impressed straight
away with the ethos, and ran the team through to Colts.
During this time, I got involved on the committee, and am now
Honorary Secretary.”
The Role
“Membership and registration time in September is very
challenging, along with some rather random correspondence
to the club. I still try and get down to the club on a Sunday
morning to watch the juniors, that’s the reward for me.”
Atmosphere
“The mood is buoyant, after a tough season last year, the
1st and 2nd teams have both done well, and after a few stutters
we are now getting a 3rd team out regularly. We reverted to a
coaching structure from inside the club for this season, and it
has worked well. Jez Sandhu, the head coach, has put together
a good team, and the players have a smile on their faces again.”
