hooters Hill RFC is based at 123-125 Mayday Gardens in London and their first team
currently competes in the Shepherd Neame Kent 2 League. They are led by the team of
Chair Gary Mitchell and President Ian Purcell and the club is looking to progress under their
guidance.
This Season
So far this season it would be fair to say that their
first team has not perhaps enjoyed the campaign that
they would have liked. Up to now they have compiled a
record of two wins and sixteen defeats from their eighteen
matches which has left them near the bottom of the table
with fourteen points on the board.
They will now be looking to put together a good run
of form in their remaining games in order to finish as
high up the table as possible. This would provide them
with some much needed momentum heading into the offseason.
2nd XV
Shooters Hill is not a club to focus solely upon their
first team and they also have a 2nd XV running. This
allows them to give twice as many players an opportunity
to play the game every week and shows their commitment
to playing an important role in the local community.
Another benefit of having an extra side is that it allows
the first team to benefit from far greater strength in depth.
If they are ever left short on numbers through injury
or work commitments they have the option of calling
players up with a limited amount of disruption.
