Dai & Gareth Davies are principal club sponsors of Redditch RFC
with their business Dash Motors. They recently spoke to Rugby Club
Magazine about their long association with the club, Dai started by
saying, “I’m from West Wales originally and played prop forward for
Redditch when I moved to the area many years ago and continued
playing up until I was 50. As a founder member of the clubs junior
section it’s great to see it flourishing.
“Redditch has been a big part of my life and I have worn a few hats
including president for 14 years and captain for 3; an accolade my son
Gareth has also achieved as the current captain.”

Gareth continued by saying, “I currently play openside although I
started as fly half and have played for the club for over 20 years. As a
team we have had played ok this season and could have done with a
little luck but that’s the way it goes, the hope is that our strong junior
section will continue to produce good players as we move forward.
“This season we have the cup to look forward to towards the end of
the season. My dad and I have a strong family link with Redditch
Rugby Club, my nephew Teify now plays also and we would like to
wish everyone associated with the club the best of success in their 50th
year.”
