For the 2015 RWC we had the ‘whacky’ idea of gifting 2015 rugby balls into the wider MK community in an attempt
to reach non rugby people. We have raised funds from Sporting and local charities like Leap and MK Community
Foundation. We have also approached a large number of the local PARISH Councils and also a number of friends of
the club and businesses. We are working with Gilberts who have been very supportive.
This has been a roaring success. We have more than 3,500 balls on orders and have more than 100 custom designs,
some serious, some more fun.

We will distribute the balls to youth groups, local sporting groups, at Rugby camps, via businesses, at old folks homes
(for Physio) at toddlers clubs for play things, for Summer Play schemes and we expect to see them in Shop windows.
The Sporting Charity Leap is also sponsoring a web site to allow the recipient to ‘register’ the ball, to enter a raffle for
RWC tickets and Gilbert goodies. Sign up card attached.
