antyglo RFC has enjoyed a fantastic season, recently securing the title in League 2 East of the Swalec Leagues. We
caught up with their Secretary Glyndwr Thomas to find out more about the good work they’ve been doing.
He told us, “Having won the league by three points
recently then as you can imagine the mood is very good
at the club at the moment. That makes it three straight
league titles so the players are buoyant right now.
“The current group have been together for a few years
now and it is a good brand of rugby they are producing
with a good atmosphere between the players and
supporters which is important. One of the keys to our
success has been that we’ve had an excellent coach in
Jason Williams who has done a great job here. He talks a
good game and has been getting the results to back that
up. He’s excellent at getting the team well prepared for
matches and that has been key to our good form.”
Head Coach Jason Williams also took the time to speak
with us, saying, “This is my 3rd season back as a coach
and it’s been great seeing local boys doing well for the
club. They’ve all committed to doing well from day one
and we haven’t looked back since.
