ased at Bretton Woods in Flaxlands, Peterborough Lions RFC currently competes in the National League 3
Midlands. They are led by the team of Chairman Andrew Moore and President Eddie Maleczek and have
been progressing well under their guidance.
This season their first team has been in fine form, putting together
a record of seventeen wins and nine defeats in their 26 league
matches. This saw them finish in 3rd place in the league with 88
points on the board and was a fine effort by everybody involved.
Their performance this season should provide them with the
perfect platform from which to build as they look ahead to the
2015/16 campaign. As long as they can retain their current group
of players and perhaps make one or two quality additions they
will be well positioned to challenge for honours.
One of the highlights of the team’s performances was the
attacking brand of rugby that they managed to produce. This
was reflected in the fact that they racked up an incredible 866
points in the league alone at a rate of more than 30 per match.
Unsurprisingly this made them one of the top scorers in the
league.
Playing with such style will certainly have meant that any
supporters attending their matches will have been well
entertained and should encourage more of the local community
to get behind the side in the future. This in turn has the potential

Peterborough Lions is not a club
to focus solely upon their senior

a thriving academy and minis set
