“Our facility is recognised
as one of the best in the
area, often used for junior
cup finals, and combination
games. Stade Francais used
BPRFC for training a few
years back before playing
against Bristol. We are hoping
to create another (third)
pitch, and strengthening our
community links, especially
by providing coaching to local
secondary schools.”
Challenges/Ambitions
“Our biggest challenges
include improving/
expanding our facilities to
accommodate older age
groups and improving car
parking facilities. As the junior
squads get older and play on
bigger pitches, it’s becoming
impossible for all the squads
to play at home on the same
day, so we have to be very
creative with the fixtures. We
aim to be running 3 senior
teams and a colts team,
to gain promotion above
Gloucester 1, increase club
membership and retain our
players. We’re also looking at
getting a girls squad running
in the juniors.”
