TWO DECADES
OF DEDICation
Anna
This year we presented two of our
wonderful staff members with their
20 year long service award.
Anna is both an Animal Care Assistant
(ACA) and the volunteer and work
experience coordinator for the Animal
Centre. As volunteer coordinator Anna is
responsible for promoting volunteering
opportunities, replying to all enquiries,
inducting volunteers and work experience
students and providing ongoing support
throughout their time here.
Without Anna we would not have such
a fantastic team of volunteers and work
experience students who help in various
roles at the Centre. In her ACA role, Anna
covers the cattery, kennels and reception
and is a fabulous team member who helps
and supports everyone – always with a
smile on her face.
Emma
Emma is an Animal Care Supervisor,
which means that alongside the day
to day work she is also responsible for
staff training and daily management
of the Centre. Emma will take on
anything, from hand rearing kittens and
puppies, to helping manage the foster
programmes and organising our lives
with lots of spreadsheets!
Emma walks over 20,000 steps per day
walking dogs and we have calculated
that over the course of 20 years she has
clocked up around 52,000 miles – that’s
the circumference of the earth twice over.
We are all so proud of both Anna and
Emma and would like to say a massive
well done and thank you for all their
hard work over the last 20 years.
