Cat CUDDLE
On September 22nd we held our Big Cat
Cuddle. Our wonderful supporters were
given the challenge of raising a minimum
of £50 each, and in return they had the
pleasure of being locked in a cat pen for one
and a half hours. We also asked for cakes
on the day so that we could run a cake sale
alongside the event.
As the day dawned we were a bit worried
as it was pouring with rain, but luckily our
supporters had wrapped up warm and were
supplied with hot drinks to keep them going.
The cats and the volunteers all had an
amazing time - particularly the kittens
who charged around playing with toys
until they were so tired they eventually
fell asleep on laps.
The cakes were also a huge hit and people
came to the centre just to buy some after
seeing it advertised on facebook. The
highest amount raised was by Louise and
her son Harvey - a whopping £171, and all
together we raised over £700.
We would like to say a huge thank you
to everyone who took part, and we will
definitely hold more Cat Cuddles next year.
