His Royal Highness The Duke of York, KG
As Patron of the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra, I am particularly proud
of RPO resound’s ground-breaking
work in the community. For the past
twenty years, it has delivered
thousands of innovative projects to
a diverse group of participants,
including special needs schools,
homeless shelters and hospices.
Since its inception, RPO resound has
been leading the way, harnessing the
exceptional talents of the Orchestra’s
musicians to enhance the lives of those
less fortunate, unlocking potential and
creating a legacy of raised aspiration
and social cohesion.
During these times of austerity, the
RPO has remained resolute in its
determination to provide the highest
quality music-making experiences to
the broadest reaches of our society,
breaking down the barriers to access
and ensuring that the extraordinary
power of music continues to weave
its magic where it is most needed
and most valued.
