Cameras and Encouragement

Introduction
By the age of eight-teen, the average American will have seen 350,000 commercials. They will have past roughly 5,000 advertisements per day. Pictures, logos, commercials, billboards or videos. What would happen if those teenagers were on the other side of the camera? Would anything change? Would girls feel better about themselves? Would expression out rule self harm? What would happen if teenagers had the equipment to make their own media? I write to you to show and explain what teenagers can do with cameras and encouragement.

Paranoia Our Evolution
Here, at Science Leadership Academy our program is only four years old yet, we have grown tremendously. Staring out with nothing but handheld cameras and duct tape tripods, the program was nothing but a club. We had programs like iMovie and 1ShipCCD cameras but, people started to take notice with the products. Other students were intrigued about what was going on in the film class room. So they got involved, they produced and they didn’ t disappoint. All they did was put forward what they liked watching. It gradually and progressively became one of the most applied to class in all of the school.
By the next, 2010 year SLA’ s Digital Video had funding. We improved to Final Cut Programming and new cameras which brought the ability to have an introduction and a full time Digital Video class.
By 2012 Rough Cut Media became a non profit who is partnered with the American school in Bombay and conducts on line classes to anyone with interest. By next year we will have Digital Photography.
