President’s Report Welcome to the September edition of In touch. Torin has a strong line up of activities and speakers planned for the month (click here for details) with the major event being the District Governors visit to the Coast on Monday 9th September. This will be a multiple club transfer dinner hosted by Gosford East Club and held at Gosford Golf Club. It may be the only time that many of our members get to meet as well as hear from our District Governor and so I would encourage all members to book a seat for this event. Bookings and payment are via our Club with Torin calling for numbers this week. cured. We are , however, still calling for individual players or teams of four to completely fill the card on the day. Don’t forget if you are not a golfer, you can still come along and enjoy the day. Special thanks go to our major event partners NURSES NOW and JOBS AUSTRALIA for their financial contribution . Members with an interest in learning a little bit more about International, especially establishing overseas projects, are invited to participate in an International Projects Seminar on Sunday 21st September , 8.00am to 12 midday at the 2nd floor conference facilities at the Sydney Adventist Hospital. Some of the topics listed for discussion include Rotary Foundation & RAWCS; volunteering abroad; Australian Government Overseas Grants; and project ideas and Rotary shared grants. I would again remind members who haven’t done so as yet to complete their Working with Children’s’ Declaration as soon as possible. There is usually at least one member with Wi-Fi capability at our dinner meeting, and so, if still not sure what is required we may be able to assist you to complete your registration whilst attending a dinner meeting. Also when putting dates aside in your diary don’t forget Wednesday 8th October …..another dinner meeting with a twist. This will be our first family / bring a friend night and is being held on the premises of Vietnam Veterans (Keith Payne VC) Hostel at Noraville.
