Rotary Club of Northlakes Toukley In Touch September 2014 | Page 3
This Month
Welcome to the September issue of In touch. This edition of the magazine is a
little earlier than usual as I am taking a brief period of leave. Because of this I am
unable to include the September message from our Rotary International President. I will be back in time for the October issue and should be able to catch up
then.
This month, however, we get to know John Germ who is the selection of the
Nominating Committee for President of RI in 2016-17. He will become the president-nominee on 1st October if there are no challenging candidates.
RI President :
Gary CK Huang
District Governor :
Ian Scott
Club President:
Peter McCloskey
Also in this issue is the newsletter of the Bright Future Children’s Home. The
founder and club member Jan Pryor hopes this will give you some idea of the
work that is being carried by this organisation.
September is New Generations Month. Australian Rotarians have always recognised the importance of youth programs and have been at forefront of developing such programs. In this issue we take a further look at RYLA. A program close
to the heart of our club.
A reminder of the golf day is included, which is fast approaching. Make sure it’s
in your diary.
Meeting Time:
Wednesdays
There is also a reminder of the World’s Greatest meal. Hope to see everyone
there with as many friends as possible.
The cover this month is another in the series of local scenes.
