One of my favorite songs is Cold Heart of the Klondike; it has all the
elements that makes me fall in love with it. A beautiful piano, choirs
with a lot of power, and the amazing feature of Tony Kakko. It starts
with a violin base carried by some choirs that sing “Heart, cold heart”,
and will be repeated with more power during all the song, and Tony’s
voice. It’s a very symphonic piece where the choirs are the key. I
must say that the celestial atmosphere of the album is still present
and it never gets lost. This is the longest song and that involves some
large instrumental part and with more changes; for that reason this
is one of the songs that show the full potential of Tuomas, under my
opinion. We’re in the middle of the album, what can I say? The music
we can hear transmits lots of feelings; the compositions are unique
and magical…
