One of my favorite songs is Cold Heart of the Klondike; it has all the elements that makes me fall in love with it. A beautiful piano, choirs with a lot of power, and the amazing feature of Tony Kakko. It starts with a violin base carried by some choirs that sing “Heart, cold heart”, and will be repeated with more power during all the song, and Tony’s voice. It’s a very symphonic piece where the choirs are the key. I must say that the celestial atmosphere of the album is still present and it never gets lost. This is the longest song and that involves some large instrumental part and with more changes; for that reason this is one of the songs that show the full potential of Tuomas, under my opinion. We’re in the middle of the album, what can I say? The music we can hear transmits lots of feelings; the compositions are unique and magical… 23
