How have you been this year with so
much that happened in Europe, economically speaking, has this affected
the band?
Italians are used to make shift and go
on. The economic crisis is a global matter that is affecting the music business
too. All bands are trying to keep afloat.
Fortunately we have a great passion
for what we do, and this helps us to go
ahead and never turn back. If you stop
you are lost.
Tell us a little about your album ‘Horror
Metal’?
“Horror Metal” is the most obscure album CADAVERIA has released so far. It
marked our return on the scenes after
five years of absence and I can say fans
and critics were united in saying it is
our best album ever. Surely it is the one
that better represents the current style
of the band, a mix of Death, Black and
Doom inspired by horror movies, nightmares, cemetery stuff and darkness. All
this is merged with a dose of sickness
and insanity. The eleven songs featured
in Horror Metal are plunged in the fog,
mud and dust.
Who wrote the songs?
I’m the responsible of all the lyrics while
the music has been written in cooperation with the guitarist Dick Laurent.
