Florida Hurricane
"The U.S. National Hurricane Center alerted the population on Monday 1st October at 11 am due to the Tropical Storm and the Hurricane Michael of Category 1. The sustained winds were 120 km/h, which meant that the hurricane was one of Category 1 in the Saffir-Simpson wind scale.
Hurricane Michael was located 80 miles west of the west end of Cuba and moved northward at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour. Michael continued his route to the Gulf of Mexico and was expected to strengthen to hurricane Category 3 by Tuesday or Tuesday night. Michael was expected to be a dangerous big hurricane once he reached Florida's panhandle last Wednesday.
Last Wednesday in the afternoon, the National Hurricane Center increased the degree of Hurricane alert. The alert extended from the eastern border of Alabama/Florida to the Suwannee River, including cities like Pensacola, Panama City, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Apalachicola in the panhandle of Florida."
